Accel Introduces Maestro at 4GWE Conference
.
February 23, 2012
.
The migration from 3G to 4G is about much more than simply increasing data rates and lowering latency. 4G represents nothing less than an industry paradigm shift and, as a result, the ramifications go beyond the transition from one platform to another. In addition to managing the logistics of layering a new equipment platform across existing platforms, carriers are dealing with challenges in spectrum allocation, data utilization and marketing. While there are challenges crossing multiple disciplines, this magnitude of transition is not unprecedented. The transition from analog to digital and the transition from 2G to 3G were similar in complexity and overall the carriers have done a fairly good job managing the challenges.

A Wireless T1 – Yea, We Got That

Author: Mark Gianinni, CEO & Co-Founder

.
AND MORE… With all the buzz generated by the advent of 4G, we still hear more about mobile solutions than fixed wireless.
.
There’s a reason for that, and it’s based on some history that hasn’t created a warm, fuzzy feeling about wireless broadband. As David Rohde references in his May 25th blog Can broadband wireless kill off the T-1, a good deal has to happen first, but it’s coming.
.
We get that—and we have been working away in our labs (note the mad scientist reference) developing a patent-pending, smart antenna system we call “Maestro” to stabilize and boost RF signal, in order to support smart applications like VoIP, now possible because of 4G.

Maestro is a smart antenna system that enables the highest availability, fastest data rates and lowest latency that enterprise organizations demand of fixed 3G and 4G cellular broadband networks. Adapting to the RF environment, and the unique features of each remote site, MaestroTM employs its dual array antennas, addressable filters and addressable LNA to produce the optimal signal to noise ratio, transforming each RF link into an enterprise class last mile. Accel In The News

Pathways [to LTE] require some expertise for the enterprise client.

Enterprises hungry for 4G face something of a conundrum: The destination for all major carriers is LTE, but the roadmaps to get them there differ. And those pathways require some expertise for the enterprise client. As a result, potential nightmares may await enterprises that don’t employ a practical approach that includes multiple carriers and roll-out strategies for this new technology to ensure that they get what they pay for. Carriers like Sprint and Verizon with CDMA systems are moving directly to LTE. Meanwhile, AT&T and T-Mobile USA with GSM systems are following an evolutionary approach through HSPA+.
